Essex Junction Recreation and Parks aspires to promote lifelong health and well-being, to provide diverse learning experiences, and to provide affordable and accessible programs. Aspire Community Studio is now located at Maple Street Park, 75 Maple Street. This spring we converted our former maintenance garage into a beautiful 1,200 square foot studio. The new space has a full wall of mirrors, plenty of windows for great natural lighting, air conditioning, and convenient parking. We aspire to find great instructors, offer a wider variety of classes, provide easy access to our programs, and make our programs as affordable as possible.

Whatever your aspiration, Aspire is here to help you take the next step toward your goal.
We aspire to promote lifelong health & wellbeing, to provide diverse learning experiences, and to provide affordable & accessible programs.
About the move...
Since opening in January 2012, Aspire has provided a bright, fun, and colorful studio for fitness classes, serving an important need in the Essex Junction community. The studio was opened on River Road after the demands for Zumba and other fitness classes could no longer be accommodated comfortably at Maple Street Park or at the schools. After providing Zumba, yoga, RIPPED, dance, and other classes for three and half years off site, EJRP is planning to relocate those opportunities back to Maple Street Park at a new program space in the fall.
Beginning this spring, the current maintenance garage is being transformed into a 1,200 square foot program space. The new space will serve as the venue for a variety of recreational opportunities, including meetings, play space, afterschool programs, and fitness classes. A new maintenance garage will be constructed on the property next to the skatepark.
EJRP’s final day at the studio on River Road will be June 14, 2015. For this summer, staff are identifying what a summer schedule may look like and where those opportunities could be hosted. More information will be e-mailed to pass holders and class participants, as well as be available at aspire.ejrp.org. The department is pleased to announce that the Elan Academy of Classical Ballet will independently continue to operate at the River Road location.
EJRP will continue to facilitate adult fitness opportunities under the Aspire title, and punch pass holders will still be able to use their passes for EJRP/Aspire fitness classes for any offerings this summer, and beginning in September, for classes at the new program space at Maple Street Park. While we are sad to part ways with our beloved studio space, we are excited about our new onsite space and continuing our great programs.
